New Present / Product Recommendation

I got the best present and I'm wondering why I haven't seen this item mentioned before.

Hubby surprised me with a Breakaway throttle lock. This is the best thing I've gotten in a long time. It has a push button engage, and disengage, but the best part is it has a quick release that is triggered by just tapping the front brake. It holds tight where I set it, and the chrome looks really nice on the bike. I did have an aftermarket screw one installed a few years ago, but it made me really nervous to use it much because I was paranoid about fumbling around to engage and disengage it. And what if I had to make a quick stop and I couldn't get it off quick enough. I even had hubby remove it last summer because I just didn't like it.

I ride a Honda Shadow, and my bike didn't come with a throttle lock. Are these standard on other bikes?

Since I don't know much about bike accessories, I wonder what other amazing gadget I'm missing out on.

LOVE my Brakeaway!

I would be lost without my Brakeaway Throttle Lock. It was worth every penny! One thing I didn't realize about it for a long time is that not only does it hold the throttle in place, you can also still move the throttle to increase or decrease speed while it's engaged. I use mine all the time when we're on the highway. Everyone who does any over-the-road riding should consider getting one, and like you, I agree that it's much more comforting knowing it will disengage when you even just barely tap on the front brake. Ride safe!!
