This picture was taken the first time my leg went over the seat on my new bike. It's an 06 Ridley custom out of Oklahoma. Not a new bike now but still gives me that first time thrill every ride.

Automatic
by: Sharon

The Ridley is automatic. I was in an accident and any sort of shifting one a bike or in a car is just to difficult. The bike is a 750 which has plenty of power. Speed tops out at about 85. Who needs to even go that fast? It has some quirks that are different for every bike as they are custom built.

Low center of gravity and a feeling of power and substance.

Draw back is that the bikes are no longer in production as the company has gone out of business due to a lawsuit by Harley over a name, Autoglide.

I have a local bike shop, not Harley, that works on her and I have had no problem getting spare parts from Ridley. Another small problem I have had is that I have to lower my knees to make sharp turns (think s turns) because the handle bars hit my knee and stop the turn. Since most of us don't regularly make that sort of turn, it has not been much of an issue.

I just bought a CF Moto V -- it's a 250 automatic. Awesome!

Nice wheels! One question: Ridley. Isn't that one of those automatic transmission bikes? I'm just curious 'cause I'm looking for something in an automatic without going to the Boss Hogg line of bikes (they're too big for me). Thanks and keep between the ditches!
