Need Your Ideas

I currently have a Yamaha Fazer, but have been told by the garage that it needs £600 repairs to pass the MOT. I already find it too heavy, so am after some advice on a smaller, less powerful, and cheap bike as a trade-in. Please help!

Like My Boulevard S-40
by: Rene L.

Hi Charlotte,

I love my bike. It is a Suzuki Boulevard S-40. The previous model was basically the same bike, but was called a Savage. Mine is a 650cc engine, so enough power to get around and not feel like you are going to be run off of the road, but the bike weighs about 350 lbs and is very manageable. When I was looking to buy my first bike, I considered a Honda Rebel 250 because it is what was used in the MSF class. However, many experienced bikers recommended that I get something a bit more powerful so as not to outgrow it too soon. I'm glad I took their advice.

Good luck,

Ren'e

I would recommend either a Honda Rebel 250, which may be to small, but it should be good, or if you want something a little bit bigger a Honda Shadow, which is what I currently ride, both are great and reliable, and you can buy 80's shadows... Good luck!!
