Need More Time

I have recently bought a Honda Rebel. I cannot ride often and someone told me that not riding is bad for my bike. I am 53 years old and my work is very demanding. I do not want to fell that I have to ride when I am to tired because it is not good for my bike. I ride when ever I can.

Time to Ride

I live in Oklahoma, due to the weather I can't ride always. During the winter I keep my bike in the garage and every once in a while I go out, start it and let it run for a few minutes. That seems to work for me.

Other Ideas

Well, if you can't ride often, there are some things you can do for your bike. Can you leave the battery on a trickle charger so that it doesn't lose its charge? Or do you have enough time that you can turn the bike on and take it around the block every other day (even if you can't take it out for a full ride?). Maybe you could turn it on and leave it running for ten minutes (sit on it and write out some bills or something so that you can use the time while it's there)?

If I don't take my bikes out regularly, my biggest problem is battery charge. Even with a brand new battery, they need to get charged up by being turned on or trickle charged.
