Congrats on your bike!! I started on the exact same bike, but red in 2008. I road it for a year and upgraded to a 2005 HONDA Shadow 750 Spirit. I love my Honda!! It handles very well and I can keep up with my fiance and his friends:)

So many bikes to choose from... I have a 2010 Stateline and I love it. It is my first bike so I don't have anything to compare it to but I am very happy with my purchase. Good luck with whatever you choose. Happy riding!

Like two other gals who posted here - I also started on a 250 and moved up to an 800 Boulevard C50. (I rode a 450 for a bit in between). The C50 is an awesome bike. Fun and easy to handle. Ride safe!

 My Starter Bike a Buell Blast

This spring i will have had a learners permit for 2 years. My first bike is a 2004 Buell blast and let me just say its called a Blast for a reason! This bike is fun and easy to ride. It opened up a feeling of freedom and feeling of empowerment. I have a very stressful job and life when I get on my motorcycle I can put it all behind me. My mc has given me a sense of balance when I ride I think about what I'm doing at that moment only. Only happy thoughts and it gives me time to reflect and have clarity When I get to a peaceful and relaxing destination I then begin to reflect and have a little clarity. It's like my yoga. I love it, I'm hooked. I'm upgrading I hope this year to a 2011 super low so I can go on longer rides in more comfort.

I have a 2001 750 Honda Shadow.....best bike ever to start on. Am ready after 2 years for more power (bike girl bike) Thinking Honda Interstate or Stateline :)

I have a Virago 250, and now that I'm not a beginner anymore (I've been at it a year), I too can't wait to upgrade. In Oz, the laws are such that you have to start on a small bike - power to weight ratio - and it's not a bad idea.

If you LIKE your Suzuki GZ250, you may want to consider the C50 Boulevard! I absolutely LOVE my Boully...

Just a thought - whatever you decide, enjoy the shopping and enjoy the ride even more.
