My Bike is My Best Friend

It's freedom, no kids, no spouses, no bosses just me and my bike. I always ride solo because that's what it's about for me, making my own choices. It's hot here year around but I make the choice to ride on those days when others want to stay in and while I'm riding I think about how much they are missing out on and how I'm so happy they decided to stay home!

Getting a Glimpse of That Feeling

I am very new - riding for the first time for the past 3 weeks (weekends only so I can get out before the traffic). I'm just starting to know what you mean. Now that my anxiety is lessening just a little, I CANNOT wait to get on the bike. Still not confident about my stops, but I did go to the gas station and CVS yesterday which required busy intersections and roads. It is just unbelievable when everything goes well. I realize it is going to get better and better!

My Bike is my best friend too! I just wish I had discovered this wonderful escape years ago! I ride everywhere. If it's not raining and not too cold, I'm on my bike. I even ride to work every day when I can. All my problems and worries and anxieties just dwindle away as soon as I start her up and take off. It's the best feeling in the world...

My Bike

Amen sister, my bike is my escape! I have 2 kids, and a grandchild. And I love them, but sometimes there is no peace in my house. That's when my husband and I sneak out on our bikes for a few hours. And if he is busy I just go alone. I love that!
