Love to Ride

Love to Ride

I started on a Zuma 50 scooter, and within 6 months I moved up to a Piaggio Fly 150 scooter as California streets required a bit more speed. Six months later I bought an Aprillia Sport City 250 scooter. I rode it for about 3 years to gain my riding skills. I then joined the big girls club by purchasing a 2009 Suzuki DRZ400SM for the street and a 2002 Suzuki DRZ400 for the dirt. I love to ride all my babies.

Scooter Starting Out
by: Regina

Those are some nice bikes.

I started out with a scooter too. I had never ridden a motorcycle. For me, as a woman in her 50's who had had a few recent operations and was not as strong physically as I had been in the past, learning to ride on a scooter first made sense.

I began with the MSF classes for experienced riders on a 250 Kymco. (I had been practicing in the field behind our house.) The next year, I got a Yamaha 400 Majesty. I loved it. The Majesty stayed up with the motorcycles and rode great. Then, I bought my first motorcycle--a Suzuki 800 and learned about gears and the choke. It was the right progression for me. Now, I'm looking for a new bike, one that has fuel injection. I would recommend starting out with a scooter for anyone who wants to take the learning process in steps.

More babies!

I love all your babies! I've been wanting another for my garage and you've inspired me! Any reason you did not sell the smaller scooters?

Addiction

Glad to get her off the back of mine, and onto her own. Just did not realize how expensive it would be.
