well thank you for all your input, have been working alot lately so havnt tried any of that lately. I did try though testing my spark plugs, apparently im not getting any spark too them from the connectors so, ive ruled out the carb issue for now and thinking its the ignition system ?

Sorry, didn't think, if your battery charger is just one of those little wall plug in battery maintainers, it will not have enough oompf to jump start your bike. You can buy a good charger that will charge car batteries and jump start your car or bike for about $30 at most discount stores(walmart, target, kmart, meijer, etc). But I guarentee you need a new battery.
These carburators are not as sensitive as you think as far as old fuel. My snow blower, lawn mower and weed wacker, along with my bike have all sat for months on their off seasons with the fuel left in for the previus season, and aside from taking a few tries to get them started, they start and run fine.
Don't forget, ON a carburated bike you can always shoot starter fluid (NOT charcoal lighter fluid)into your air intake with the filter off and do that a couple times until the fuel starts flowing.

Battery Issue. I promise
by: jerry G

If it is clicking, your battery (even though you charged it) does not have the strength to start. Batteries cannot sit for even two months without being affected. Do this!!!!: With your battery in the bike and connected as if your going to ride, connect your charger. If your charger has a "start" or "hi start" setting, put the charger on that setting. If it does not have that setting, then set it at 12volts on the highest amp setting and turn charger on. Now start your bike, you may have to crank it 2 or 3 times for 6-10 seconds each time, but it should start.
-Make sure your fuel valve is on if carburated. being in florida, you may not have to choke the bike, but if it doesn't want to start wothout choke, then try choke. WHen trying to start, don't give it any gas. If your bike is fuel injected, then definatly any decrease in battery power will affect the starting of the bike, as fuel injection is is run by the computer with specific voltages.
-Once your bike starts while connected to the charger, leave it run for a little while just to get everything flowing....Then go buy a new battery. Your old one has no life left in it. I have already been thru this twice. Batteries must be put on a battery tender when not in use for long periods of time...even a month or two. Good luck!

Battery?
by: ANGIE

Did you start it at all in those 8 months? Try a new battery and but a trickle charger that you can plug into your bike when you know your not going to ride it...

You didn't mention whether you had the battery on a trickle charger or not. If it was stored for 8 months then your battery probably needs charging.
