Motorcycle Boots - HELP!

by Bootless

I am 5'0 and am looking for a motorcycle boot. I currently have my tip toes on the group for my bike but am looking for a boot with a high heel/sole. I was reading up on the Icon Hella boot, but am not sure if they are safe for me to drive.

Any suggestions for boots? I am looking for a 3" heel.

Thanks!

High Heels

I have boots with 3,5` stacked heels, I have ridden on my Suzuki SV-650S quite a lot without problems. I think it isn`t dangerous at all.

Stiletto Heels are Better

I don`t like the wedges. 3,5" stilettos are much better for riding.

Maybe These Would Help?
by: Anonymous

I have two pair of Harley boots (I ride a Triumph) and these boots add a full 1.5" to my inseam without me being on my toes. Styles are "Starter Switch" and "Express Lane" and I don't have to balance on my toes. I know it's not a 3" heel, but if it helps? Anyway, they're really comfy just to walk around in, too.

Boots for Short Women
by: Jacee

I'm 4'10" and I needed built-up boots too. However, any boot with a heel hindered my shifting. They were ok on my cruiser, but not for a sport bike. I found some Daytona ladies boots (I bought the Lady Star) with the build-up on the inside and the bottom is fairly flat. I also wear a size 5-1/2 shoe and they had boots in my size (European size 35). They are made in Germany but I bought them from a company in California. Here's the Daytona website: http://www.daytona.de/english/boots_e/gore.html.

On top of that, I took them to a real cobbler and had him build up the bottom from the arch to the toe - the thicker part at the toe (because I AM on my toes). I specifically asked him to build the left one up 1/2 inch so that I could still get my foot between the foot peg and the shifter to upshift; and the right one 3/4 of an inch as it doesn't need to fit between the peg and anything. I need it to stand on the ground flat-footed at stops. They work perfectly.

I also took my bike to a shop that upholsters vehicle seats (RVs, cars, trucks, etc.) and he took my seat off, took the cover off, sculpted the seat down about 1 inch, which helps me get a little more foot on the ground. Also had my suspension lowered and the forks cut (lowered).

You can do it - whatever it takes. Riding is worth it!
