It now has a ferring that my son-in-law got and painted to match the bike for Christmas. No picture yet, but soon

This is my second bike. The first was a 1200 Sportster 2003 Anniversary edition, Black and silver. Loved it! Decided my next bike would be a Softail and my hubby got right on to looking for one. Found it in Chicago and the color (smokey gold) just happened to match the color of his dresser. Hmmm! I like the color but my ideal would be a turquoise softail deluxe. Just might have my son-in-law find some extra skins and paint it so I can have a deluxe instead of a heritage!?! Love to ride. This is my second summer riding and can't get enough of it. We are planning a trip to Nashville to ride the Natchez Trace route for our 30th anniversary in August.

I am looking at softails but am concerned with the weight. I am 5.2 and have been riding a Vstar 1100.

Are you taller than that and do you notice the weight difference from the sportster to your softail?

I will! I am going on a Chic Association ride in GR on the 4th of June, my sister is going and some other women from Fremont. We are really looking forward to it. Hope the weather is nice!

Love Your Bike

I too am a chic rider, and I have a 2002 Heritage Softail, and I LOVE it!

Funny, I'm from Grand Rapids, and I now live in Nashville, the "Trace" is an awesome ride, you'll enjoy it!

Last summer I rode straight thru from Nash. to Grand Rapids, in 11 hrs, all by myself, to see my brother, and ride with him for a week, he's got a sporty.

Anyway, ride it like you stole it, and be safe!
