Lowering Bike

by Marty

Love your website and your bike. In fact, I'm looking at one identical to yours--2000 R1100s, lots of accessories, great price, etc. Just sold a 650 v-star which fit me well--was low enough that I had both feet flat on the ground. I love the "S" but at only 5'6" I'm on my tiptoes. Is there any way to lower it (or did you lower yours at 5"7"?) I looked at a lot of the sites and found the Trackmaster (and pull-parts.com)torque reaction bar, but I think it's for a 1200 and is more for raising not lowering the bike. Any suggestions so that I can buy this bike and still have my feet flat on the ground? Seems like I would need a shorter rod not a longer one for the 1100.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Seat Changes
by: Jenny

I'm not sure how much you want to lower your bike, but would something like this work?

Mean City Cycles

They can refurbish your seat so that it's anywhere from 1/2" to 3" shorter then it was before (and more comfortable). I'm sending my seat in next month!
