Love the way I feel..

by Connie Smith
(Meriden,CT.)

Riding is the best way to express a part of me that I can't describe in words alone. I can't help but smile really big when I take off on my bike. After graduating from nursing school in 1995 and years of loving the ride..always on the back, I gave myself a present..riding lessons and a used Sportster. I knew I wanted to go bigger so I bought a Dyna Glide, 2000. After many miles and out to the 100th Anniversary of HD and back I wanted a Heritage. So, I rented one and took a trip by myself from CT and around the Great Lakes. Great experience.!In 2004 I bought a new red Heritage and have been to CA and back. I love every minute I am on my bike. All my "issues" seem to fade and get blown away by the wind. I feel a wonderful sense of empowerment and accomplishment since the beginning. I have done all this without a man in my life. Would love to share the road with a man I could call my partner and friend. Being 61, not a drinker or smoker I am finding it nearly impossible to find that like minded person. Well, for now I am doing great riding alone and with my friends. I ride my 11 year old grandaughter and she loves it. I will ride, stay strong into my eighties...or longer. Who knows? All I know is life is a one way street...no going back.
