Kawasaki, Ninja 636 - 2006

by Jazzy Joyce Brown
(Sacramento, CA USA)

I was shopping for a new cruiser. I was looking for the new Suzuki. I felt or heard something call my name. Turn and there was the little Ninja. Gray with tribal red flames.

Of course, me being my height and the bike being her height something had to change. Since I was not gonna get any taller... It was lowered by about 3 inches and the seat customized personally for me. I really enjoy the ninja. I found it much easier to control than the Honda Shadow I was previously riding. I have not ridden much lately due to injuries, not related to motorcycles. So, I've decided to take the CHP safety course again before I mount up! I'm looking for to getting back on my Ninja.

How low can you go!?
by: jazzy

@Fiddler/ not a dumb question. When I ride it, I have have no problems going over speed bumps. When my son rides it, it does scrap, but he is taller and heavier than I am.

I really like your Ninja!

Really nice lookin' bike you have! I have a sincere (dumb?) question... After having the bike lowered, do you have problems going over speed bumps and similar things? After lowering, I would think the bottom of the fairings would be too low to the ground to have adequate clearance over such obstacles. I've sat on a couple of bikes that I'd like to take home but thought the lowering might be an issue because of that.

Mine keeps giving me the evil eye every night this week because we haven't been out riding since last weekend...she is NOT happy about it...
