I turned 74

by Anonymous
(North FL)

I turned 74 and I ride a motorcycle. Every week I ride about 300 mi.That is just an average . I love to take long rides and trips on my bike "RAVEN" an '09 Sportie. It is wonderful to hear from you 50+ women out there so I don't feel so alone. Age is just a number and it should not define who you are and what you can do. Only you can do that. In this iNew Year, 2015, My plan is to ride to Asheville, NC and maybe take a trip to South FL.That is my long range plans and in between I will tide every day that I can, enjoying every thing that I can....See Ya!

have signed up for classes this month, and have dibs on a pretty purple Kawasaki Vulcan S, with both feet on the ground! hard to find a big-small bike, I'm only 5'2" ... glad to know I'm not the only "little old lady from Pasadena". Ride on!

I started riding with my husband in 2012. He encouraged me to take a class and get my endorsement. Many in our riding group encouraged me to ride so I have a beautiful Crimson 883. Best birthday present ever. I bought it at 57 and have over 4000 miles. Wish I too had learned earlier. The friends, male and female we have made and the fun we have had, make everyday better.
Riding from Minnesota to Arkansas in September. Can't wait. Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration. Ride on.

Me too!

Wow, great to hear your stories. I learned to ride at 52 and bought a Rebel (Rachel). Three years later, I bought a beautiful Shadow Phantom in matte black (Lola). I began riding with groups about eight months ago. I prefer women's groups as they are more laid back and enjoy the journey more than the speed at which you arrive at your destination.
Safe riding ladies.

I began riding solo last year after riding behind my husband for the past nine years. I really enjoyed our adventures together but really wanted to ride my own. I absolutely love it. You are a wonderful inspiration Ms. 74! You have let us all know we can do what we love and age is just an attitude. Ride on and shine on!

You all are very inspiring!

I started at 51. Now I am 54. My only regret is not learning to ride when I was younger. Now to make up for lost time!

I turn 60
by: Anonymous

2 years ago, I got mt license, I went out and bought a 250 Honda Rebel, unfortunately I had issues that kept me from really enjoying my bike, Well I turn 60 in May, and I plan on really getting comfortable riding.....I do enjoy it so much. I appreciate your experiences, and it proves, we are never to old.

It is so awesome that you are riding as much as you are. I'm 58 and have had my license for 2 years. Oh, how I love to ride. I'm in Southeast PA and have done a rode trip to Outer Banks this past September and then from there we rode over to Skyline Drive in Virginia. I rode 1200 miles in a week. WOW!! It was an awesome trip. I ride a BMW F800ST. What a beautiful bike. I agree, age is just a number and I encourage you to keep racking up the miles. What an inspiration you are!! Happy New Year!
