.How do I know when im in the friction zone?

New to riding, having difficulty with knowing when im in the friction zone, i have had four 1 hour beginners lessons and still am having challenges shifting without the bike cutting off.

Friction Zone

You will just feel a little grab. Nothing significant enough to make the bike jump but you will feel it pull a little. Best bet is to start of slow by doing that walk with the bike while letting out of the clutch and giving it some throttle.

If you are on a smaller bike you can give it a good amount of throttle, just let out that clutch slowly and you will feel the bike pull forward, then walk with it.
