Handlebars

Re: Softail Deluxe
I'm a short female and my bike came with Z-bars. NOT for ME! I have 5" risers and want to replace the bars but it's a shot in the dark trying to decide what will handle the front end and still come back far enough and not be to wide grip to grip. Looks like it's going to be expensive based on the fact that my cables will have to be replaced too. Any experience here?

Thanks,
Windy

New Risers
by: Carmen

I, like you, am a 5'3" female with a Deluxe. I just got 6" rises installed with the original handlebars and I can feel the difference. Check with the dealership, the 6" risers for Deluxe's just came out this spring.

You should go back to orginial handlebars. Keep the risers. If you have a Harley store close by they have a wide selection you can get the feel for.
