Front Forks

by Sam Bungay
(Marystown, NL Canada)

I have a 2001 honda Goldwing. I replaced the seals in the front forks because they were bad. Now that I have that problem fixed, the front forks are very hard, they have no or little give to them. What do you think is the problem, and how to fix it?

I will try that, but I was going by the directions. With the fork extended, keep the oil six inches from the top. That's what I did. I will try what you said and get back to you. The spring is not in bottom up. I though that's what I did first, no luck. Thank You guys, and girls. Sam

Try draining out an ounce of fluid at a time.. Sounds like you have to much fluid.

Maybe wrong specs for new fork oil? Different viscosity? Maybe too much fork oil? Maybe springs upside down?
