Firstgear heated liner leaves red marks on my skin

by Cathy G
(Washington)

I just bought a 90 watt heated jacket liner from Firstgear. It's great to wear, it keeps me very warm and I'm thrilled with the fit but.... It get's so hot it leaves red marks on my skin and I'm wondering if it's supposed to get that hot or if maybe it has a defect. I'm paranoid thinking that I might combust if I keep it on! Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks all!
Cathy

You are supposed to wear a T-Shirt or other, light base garment under the Jacket Liner. Are you don't that?

They have 2 kinds, one with a temp controller and one with a simple on and off switch. Which kind did you get?
