First Time Rider

I stand 6'3 310 lbs. always interested in owning and riding a bike, I have been riding a little bit on a friends 600 Suzuki but a few friends at work have been saying that I should go on and get a bike over 1000cc due to my size plus I was told that once I start riding more I would want to upgrade anyway so just get the big bike because I can get use to it quickly. Just looking for some help on this matter.

A Suzuki c109 is a nice bike, a lower center of gravity and is a real sweet bike. Yamaha Stratoliner is a beautiful bike as well. Both Yamaha and Suzuki handle very well. Over the years, I have learned to get something I feel comfortable with, otherwise I will be be unhappy with my ride. Go shopping...sit on some bikes. With your size, I would go with a big bike that is easy to handle and I suppose I lean more toward the Yamaha...but ride a Harley myself...and if I was tall enough, would definitely ride a Road King.

I guess my first question would be, are you comfortable riding the 600 cc bike. If so I agree, and maybe go to a 1100 cc or a 1200 cc.
