Both are BAD ideas
by: Quicklimegirl

Extending the forks properly (which is not a good idea in of itself due to handling issues) would probably entail coming up with a different angled triple clamp setup. As to removing the baffles, that isn't a good idea, all it will do is make your bike unreasonably loud with a loss of performance; the motor is tuned for a certain airflow in the intake and exhaust....removing the baffles creates a more open airflow, and without trying to account for this by rejetting the carbs or remapping if it's an FI bike, it won't run properly, just worse. If you want a bike with extended forks just buy a Cruiser that is set up that way. Keep in mind bikes set up with longer fork rakes generally have slower steering, and are a lot less stable due in part to the F/R weight distribution.

Both are bad ideas that will just bring you grief.

Why don't you ask a dealer?
