Crazy Bird!

My husband and I have been riding two up for awhile now. We have ventured to find great routes to ride. The first one we tried out was to Lake Geneva WI. We've gone the two main routes to get there, but this one took us through a lot of back roads. Right before we were getting into WI we hit an area where there must have been a lake or something...you could smell the water in the air. We turned down a street and all of a sudden, this massive water bird--I have no clue what it was, maybe a heron--that was huge and ugly took flight and started to fly towards us. I think we startled each other and somehow the bird quickly retreated away from us! I remember grabbing onto my husband thinking we were going to hit it. It happened so quickly yet it felt like someone hit the slowmo button. We got to the see that bird up close and personal and boy was it ugly & scary too! I guess when you venture out, you'll run into unusual things!
