Changing from a cruiser to a standard bike

I ride a V-Star 1100. Its nice but I am interested in the new Honda NC700, or maybe the Suzuki Gladius. What are other's opinions of these bikes? I find the V-star a bit clumsy and was thinking of riding a quicker,"funner" bike...?

Cruiser to Standard

I rode cruisers for 10 years in Florida. When I moved to NY, I decided that I wanted what a standard bike had to offer - quick, flickable, yet still with power. Got a Yamaha FZ6R and have not looked back. This bike will be with me a while. If I could, I'd also have a cruiser in the garage. But, since I can only have one, I'm glad I've got Baby Z.

I have had several bikes but never owned a cruiser, we used them in the MSF class I took and I found sitting in that feet forward position hurt my back. I really like the feet under me position best I feel more stable when riding. Try out a few if possible I really liked the Triumph bonneville there are several different models of the bonnie, the T100, SE, or standard so try them all. Also check out the BMW F800 there's the ST or the GS. If your looking for something inexpensive reliable and fun to ride look for a kawi ninja 500 last made in 09 but there are plenty out there. I had one and loved it, I had to get rid of some of my bikes so the bonnie and the nija had to go I kept the BMW.
