Can't Reach Rear Brake

I fell in love with a bike that needs to fit me. My air filter cover sticks out too much. legs go out and around. I haven't been able to locate a filter cover that is flat or thin. anyone know of any? The bike is a Harley Davidson FLXSTS Softail Springer, Was also thinking about extended footpegs, but that leave a reach for the brake. The cover on there now is about 3" thick or more.

Nice looking bike and cute kid! Is the air filter cover an OEM part? Maybe you could have a machine shop modify your current air filter cover or make you a new one? One suggestion would be to take your current air filter cover off the bike, carry it with you to a motorcycle parts store, and ask if they have any ideas/replacement parts that might work better for you.

How is your reach to the handlebars? Do you fit well in that aspect? I have heard that handlebars can be adjusted to fit different riders.

Regarding the footpegs and rear brake lever, I think there may be some aftermarket stuff available to adjust the position of the pegs or brake lever. Maybe do an Internet search or ask the guys at the nearest parts store.
