Blind rider needs a bike to ride.

Hello folks - webmaster here,

received an email today from a visitor who is blind and would post here but the anti-spam graphics cause some difficulties.

He rides with his wife, she does the driving, and they would like your recommendations on finding the best used bike for their purposes. They would like to do some short trips in their area and are currently looking at both cruisers and touring bikes. They like the cruisers but are wondering if a touring bike would be a better choice.

I also need to add that she is 5.4 and he is 5.6. His name is Eric and he will be monitoring this thread. I haven't met his wife yet but I expect that she will come here for a visit too.

So I'd like to ask on their behalf for your recommendations. I'd really be interested to know if there are any visually impaired riders out there who is willing to share their experiance with us.
