best windshield for my size and bike

I am a new rider( 2years ) took the MSF course, kept my rebel 1 year and went to a Honda Shadow Aero 1 yr ago. LOVE my Honda, and plan on keeping it a while. I am 5'4" and would like to get a windshield on it. I like the idea of detachable as to not to ruin the retro look of the bike, I also love the warm air in mid summer, I am in NH. I am looking at the switchblade chopped from Nat Cycle. Do you have to look over or through the screen? There are alot of conflicting reports. What works best??

Look Over

I prefer to look over. My husband ordered my windscreen from Cee Bailey. It is nice, but I will only ride with it in the winter time. I prefer the very low stock screen (barely sticks up above the instrument cluster)for three season riding, because I get more air flow on me to keep me comfortable. I can handle the wind resistance better than stagnant air which can sometimes occur behind a wind screen. It is a matter of personal preference, and you will have to learn what works best for you. Windshield

I ride a Harley Sportster and have a detachable windshield for it. I chose the 14" shield for it as I prefer looking over the screen and not through it. My Yamaha VStar 650 had a taller shield that I had to look through when riding. For some reason it seemed to distract me and made it harder for me to see the road or what was up ahead. Some people like the taller shield as it does block a little more wind, but I don't have a problem at all with my shorter one.
