Because I can!

I have always been the "safe, dependable" one. The one who never ever breaks out of her box, who never walks on the edge. Until I started riding years ago on the back of my husband's bike. I had this overwhelming sense of peace every time. Then one day I thought"why not ride my own". Could I possibly. Hell yes! To everyone's surprise, I bought my pretty little bike, took the safety course and got my license. Now everytime I go out for a ride I feel a great sense of pride and accomplishment.

Because I Can!

I too had "Because I can", but the first one I had was after my divorce, I was sitting alone eating lunch pondering my new life, and the thought suddenly occured to me. Oh my Gosh, I can get a horse!!!! Of course I did, and eventually married again 9 years later, and had the "Because I can" AGAIN! I love my bike almost as much as I love my horses. Both are my greatest high (besides kids and grandkids), and I wake up excited to know I have these in my life. What an awsome feeling! Ride on ladies!

You have every reason to be proud of yourself! Not all women learn that they have the potential to be who they most admire. You have learned that you have courage, power and self reliance....what a wonderful feeling. Power...no wonder men don't want us to have it, it is liberating!!!

new lease on life

My friends have always thought I was the "crazy one" the one did things diffrent, the one who tried things that they wouldn't try. I have a couple friends who I can say support my decison to ride, the others who I know think it is some type of phase. I know that I "love" it and I can't really imagine my life without it.
