Baffles

by Noah
(Dewy Rose, GA)

I had my baffles taken out of my Victory Kingpin pipes. It spits and sputters and pops now and seems as though it's only happy when I give it plenty of throttle. I had it re-mapped and had a K&N air filter installed. What could be wrong, and can I just put the baffles back in or do I have to re-map it again?? Thanks

Sharing advice to me...
by: Sandra

I read a lot at Suzuki Owners Club website and found posts about this exact thing...for the Suzuki's anyway, below is the advice given to me:

"If it is backfiring (deceleration pop) then it does not have a fuel controller and needs one or if it has one (it will be under the seat ) it needs adjusting/replacing."

I still have not followed up on this myself; I have Vance & Hines pipes and the popping on deceleration is very annoying to me, especially 3rd to 2nd in my residential and school neighborhoods...

Baffles

If you took your baffles out, do not do anything. That is the way it works. You get a better sound, and you will get that cracking sound. That goes with it, but she sounds great I bet.
