Before I learned to ride a motorcycle, I never knew that some things existed. Little cannisters of CO2 and patches for tires - I definitely was ignorant. In most instances, you can fix a tire, and continue on your way until you can replace the tire with a new one. Here are some options for time repair kits:

Tire Pressure Gauges - always carry one with youTire pressure gauges can be simple, or can use advanced technology. The new digital gauges really simplify checking the pressure in your tires, but the old fashioned gauges work too. So purely personal preference, but if you are going to do any amount of distance riding, I really recommend that you carry a gauge with you. Kicking the tires just doesn't give you enough information, and it can be hard on your boots. Here are some of my top picks in tire pressure gauges: $10.99-13.99 - $31.99 - $19.99 - $21.99-
