Pink Motorcycle Helmet

I recall years ago, when I had long hair and wore it in a pony-tail when riding. Based on my body size, and my pony-tail, even with my black motorcycle helmet, it was pretty clear that I was a girl riding a bike.

But, I found that my "girl-ness" actually worked against me with some vehicular drivers - I found myself being heckled by men who were either amused that I was a girl biker, or were enraged that they were forced to share the road with a woman riding a motorcycle.

My pony-tail is now gone, but I still find myself (albeit on rare occasions) in situations where I am being judged by my sex, while riding the motorcycle.

My advice: Just be careful, if you do decide to go with a pink helmet. Beware that you might be challenged, and act accordingly. Just ignore the comments, and ride on.
