Motorcycle Travel Journals

Keep a Record of your Travels

Motorcycles West Virginia

Even weekend trips have memorable moments - keeping motorcycle travel journals will enable you to remember the best roads, the greatest eateries, and the places that you don't want to forget.

I have not always kept a journal of our travels, and I regret not having a record of those early trips. I may have pictures, but I don't always remember what the pictures depict. While I'm quite sure (at the time) that I could not possibly forget where I was on the 2nd day of the two-week vacation through Idaho, I know now that I sure can.

Now, rather than having a stack of photographs with no idea as to when or where they were taken, I keep a motorcycle travel journal for every trip - even for day trips.

Great Motorcycle Road

I carry a spiral-bound notebook in my tank bag, and try to jot down notes each time we stop - particularly easy when stopping to eat. I just take the little notebook in with me, and write about where we've just been. I also collect matchbook covers, coasters, and business cards from hotels, restaurants and other businesses that we encounter along the way, keeping these in the notebook along with my notes.

Once we arrive at the destination for the day, I finish up the day's notes - usually this doesn't take more than a few minutes. Even a few notes about the days' events will enable me to remember the day in totality.

With my trip journals, I'm able to recommend great roads to others who are planning to travel to the same area.
