4'11 ft what motorcycle can I ride

(Oregon )

I'm only 4'11 and weigh about 102 lbs. I was wondering what kind of motorcycle am I able to ride? They all seem huge and I feel I'd be to small to even put my feet down on the ground! Please help. Even the ninjas seem big for me...

Lowering Bike
by: Anonymous

Honda CBR250 will work well mine is lowered, but a bit expensive to do. You should lower the front even with the back if you do it otherwise you change the whole dynamics of the bike. You are looking at lowering the bike 2 inches for what you want to do. Your going to add 600 dollars to the cost of the CBR250 just to lower it that is including the parts and labor to install. I'm not sure of a kit that will lower the ninja for the front and the back. You will also need to have the kickstand lowered at the same time when you drop it down. The kit for the CBR is from krooztune and they are in Australia. there is a really good site http://cycle-ergo.com/ where you plug in the bike and your measurement and it will let you see how you are on the bike with and without lowering. I hope this helps any questions my husband can answer for you his email is Matt71579@gmail.com he said he would be happy to help answer any questions.

Best bike

Ninja 250 is a great starter bike and just all around fun bike. Light and nimble and has lowering kits so put this one on your list. I'm 5'1 and had a ninja650 it took my husband a half hour to lower it a inch and I never looked back. Be safe and always ride your ride. It's your life.

short biker

I am 4'11.5" (got to have the half). I started out on a Honda Rebel 250 and was pretty comfortable on it.

Recently I moved to a Honda Shadow 600VLX. I could only tiptoe on this bike, so I had it lowered...it is now lower than the rebel and move comfortable to ride although much heavier.

You can ride what you want!!!
by: Kim

If you are just learning, please start off on a small bike 250. Take all the riding courses your pocket book can handle. You size does NOT matter once you master the NECESSARY skills required to ride. Bikes can be lowered, seats can be altered, risers can be put on handlebars, etc., etc., etc.. I am 5'2" weigh a little more than you and I ride a 1100 and a Fat Boy. One of my riding friends is 4'11" and she rides a Softail. Another friend is same exact weight and height as me and she rides an Ultra Classic and I might add better than most men. So see your sex or size does NOT matter it is about skill. So start off small and build those skills.

Ignore the jerk with the rude comments. There seems to always be one in every crowd. Even cowards who will not post their names!!!

A bike for you

Go to cycle-ergo.com
This is a site where you choose your bike or different bikes you put in your height and weight and you can see a picture of how a bike would fit your body type. It is kinda fun to check this out.
Also Roar Motorcycles has been fitting women for bikes check out their web site. Decide what type of riding you are going to do.
Good luck and you will find a bike.

The right bike is there for you.
by: Little Bit

I to am of small stature. and have had problems locating a bike thats not to intimidating. I have found the Suzuki Boulavard 650cc is perfect for me. Its light weight around 384 pounds, and low to the ground, easy to manage, enough power to ride the highway or countryside. Also, some Honda Shadows XLS650 are not intimidating. Most bikes can be lowered.
Good luck with riding you will really enjoy riding when you find the right bike that is right for you.
