2012 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Lt

My 1st bike

My 1st bike

1st bike ever...and kinda wishing I had gotten a smaller bike. Nevertheless, I'm gonna learn to ride it and get better. I've already dropped it twice and i don't want that to happen again. I've been more concerned with personalizing it, than riding it...I guess that's the girl in me. Anyway, I want to get better and be able to ride in a group or on long trips. But for now, I'm sticking to the neighborhood and the school parking lot.

It's a beautiful bike, burgundy and burnished pearl and I've already started adding lights and more storage for my stuff. I've named her Lady V.

Wish me luck.

Tina

Thanks for the vote of confidence

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Hopefully the weather will become a little more favorable on the weekends and I'll get out there and ride a little more, a little faster and with a little more finesse. My hubby says that I need to go faster and I say, "They can go around".

Keep the bike! My first bike is the Suzuki C-50, it's an 800 and I've already out grown it. Just keep riding. I made lots of mistakes my first year and i'm only into my 2nd year. I dropped the bike (forgot to put the kickstand down), mistake at an intersection, drove into a tree, went into a ditch. But I kept coming back. Now, I've taken several trips up from Florida into North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee. I've done the Dragon's Tail - all because I wanted to ride. Initially, I took the bike into a safe neighborhood and just kept practicing. It gets better and so does your confidence level. It's amazing to ride thru the mountains...... JUST KEEP RIDING!!!!!!!!!!!
