2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom

(Alaska)

I've just purchased my first bike. I'm 41 and have been wanting to get one for 17 yrs now. I learned to ride back when I was 24/25 and loved it. Maybe spent 6 months enjoying my husbands on and off so I did not get a lot of experience. We moved back to Alaska shortly after learning and we decided to strip the bike and rebuild it. It was a 1979 Suzuki 750GT. Needless to say, that bike is still sitting in our garage in pieces. So, I recently paid off my car and decided to just go for it without too much time to change my mind. That was 5 days ago. I'm now a proud owner of my own bike. Tomorrow, on 4th of July, I take my basic riders course through Abate Alaska. By Wed, I hope to have my license. I love reading the posts of other Women riders. It gets me so excited to become one of you. Can't wait to hit the road.
