2010 Yahama 950 V-Star

by Deb
(Pennsylvania)

I also have a 2002 Buell Blast which was my starter bike. It was a great bike to begin on, well balanced, 500cc, more than enough power. But a planned expedition to attend the Women on Wheels Ride-In in Stratton Vermont this year pushed me towards getting a bigger bike. After a lot of shopping, including about 6 hours spent in the dealer's the day I bought my Yamaha, I settled on the 950 V-Star and I love it!! It's so smooth and very comfortable. I ride every weekend for about 6-8 hours each day and never get saddle sore. It's also a beautiful bike and I get a lot of compliments on it. Quite a bit bigger than my Buell, it was intimidating at first, and I wouldn't even ride it home, but a week later, I went out for my first ride and rode about 120 miles, it was so easy to ride. I got it the beginning of April, 2010, and now, the end of July, I have more than 5,000 miles on it. Money well spent!

Thanks everyone! As for the color, I don't currently remember the "official" color, but it's a pearl white with a black/purple/pink design.

Vstar
by: Lynn - Florida

That is a beautiful VStar. I've only seen one other bike with a chrome tank. They are very striking! I bought a used 2002 VStar 1100 last Nov. and love it! I am just under 5'2" and was lucky because the bike came with handlebar risers, windshield, trunk & saddlebags and Cobra pipes. It has the stock seat and I can sit on it for long rides and not get sore or fatigued. We did a 200+ mile trip last weekend in the Florida heat and I could have rode longer. I love my VStar.

What color is that. I've never seen one that color. I had my heart set on the red 950 all year, but when a used 1100 showed up at the dealer, it was to good a deal to pass up. Still love those 950's. They are great bikes.
