2009 BMW G 650 GS

After riding two up for about 4 years, I finally caught the bug last year and surprised my boyfriend by signing up for the beginner rider's course! I surprised myself by actually getting my license that weekend and then HE surprised ME with my new bike - a red 650! I have about 1500 miles on it (long cold Chicago winter) but have been riding a lot recently. Our first road trip is this September to the Southwest and I am really looking forward to it. This bike is perfect for me - perfect size, power, height, etc. I may want "more bike" down the road, but for now, this is my baby!!!

Beautiful Bike

Your bike is beautiful. I have a G650GS too! Mine is black. Your boyfriend is very generous for buying you one! I'm glad you are enjoying it. I absolutely love mine too. It is so easy to ride. The controls are simple and easy to reach. The seat is low enough, so I can flat foot mine and feel in control. I just love everything about it. It is my first bike, and it might be all the bike I will ever need. With the 650 cc displacement, it has plenty of power to keep up with traffic. Awesome. Enjoy the ride. I just passed my MSF July 11th. I've just been riding in my neighborhood. I only have 64 miles on my bike, but that will change soon. I hope you enjoy your trip to the Southwest in September!!!
