2007 Yamaha VStar Midnight Custom

My husband taught me how to ride on a GZ250. It didn't take long before I grew out of that bike and started shopping for a bigger bike. I'm 5'4", so I wanted a bike with a low seat height. I sat on every bike made. The VStar fit me perfectly. I walked into the showroom ready to buy just a stock bike when I saw her. They had lowered (the already low) bike, added the small boulevard windshield, fringed saddlebags, tank bib, drag bars, and custom grips. I sat on her and knew she was the bike for me. Since that day back in 2007, I have added Roadburner pipes, chrome air cleaner cover and K&N filter, sissy bar and drivers backrest, mirrors, headlight and turn signal visors, engine guards, highway pegs, chrome horn cover, folding stirrup pegs, clock, thermometer, Highway Rumble speakers and an IPod holder, and a clutch adjustment kit. My husband and I like taking trips on our bikes. I have ridden my bike from Pennsylvania (where we live) to Rhode Island, Tennessee, and in the mountains of Pennsylvania. He has a Harley Dyna Glide and my bike keeps up with his without a problem. It's very comfortable on long trips. I ride my bike every chance I get. Short or long trips, doesn't matter, I just love to ride. This bike is a great bike for women.

And your opinion matters to who??? Seriously, didn't your mother ever teach you, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!

Sorry I did not delete that post sooner. I remove such "Trash" as soon as I see it.

"Jap Trap????"
by: Sandra

Seriously?

If you have had a bad experience with a certain brand of anything, you are entitled to your opinion...but if you are just a BRAND SNOB you need to get over yourself!

I ride for the passion of riding; I ride a GREAT performing bike that meets my needs; although I admire all KINDS of bikes, the Suzuki Boulevard delivers everything I require of a bike; and she's NOT a SNOB! I've even seen her share her garage space w/a Harley! LOL

I'm betting the V-Star isn't a snob either...too bad you are limiting yourself to such a narrow section of what life has to offer! Shame on you...

Jap Trash and Proud of it!!!!
by: 2007 Yamaha VStar Midnight Custom

Real Bikers, Jap Trash, seriously!!! This forum is supposed to be for women to support and help each other, not to make rude and ridiculous comments. I take great pride in my bike. I have put 10,000 miles on this bike without one bit of trouble. Real Bikers show comradery towards one another without prejudice on what the name tag says. I will continue to ride my "jap trash" bike with my head held high! Oh, and by the way, both my cars are Toyotas!!!!!

To the person who wrote the "jap trash" comment: You must've gotten your license at "SCREW U" driving school! It shouldn't matter what kind of bike you ride, as long as you have 2 wheels, good for you!

Your bike is lovely!
by: Fiddler

Isn't it great when you find the right bike! It sounds like you are having a great time, and all the aftermarket toys just make it more fun. Congratulations on a beautiful ride, and thanks for posting your story.
