My 2007 Ninja 650

My 2007 Ninja 650

I originally purchased a 2006 V-Star 650 in Oct 2010. After a few rides, I just was not comfortable with this bike. It was heavier than I personally wanted. I even posted on this forum looking for advice. After serious consideration, I opted to purchase a 2007 Ninja 650, yesterday. After just two days on this bike, I LOVE IT! It is light, nimble, and I just feel like 'one with the bike'. I am really looking forward to many years with this bike. Needless to say, the V-Star is up for sale now. It is a wonderful bike, but not for me.

Ride ladies, ride!

ninja 650r

I did the same thing as you. I rode the v-star 650 didn't like it after awhile. Then I bought a harley davidson fatboy, I didn't care for the weight. Next purchase was the kawasaki ninja 650r 2010, Now I have put almost 10,000 miles on it in 6 months. Love it, I have found that it is the easiest to ride of all the bikes I have ridden. I sat on it for 6 hours a day, for two days, and loved it! So ride what you are comfortable with. I wanted a ninja when I first started but got talked out of it. I felt that I would like it the best and I do.

Nice Ride!
by: Dawn

Everyone has their own personal preference when choosing what they are more comfortable riding. I learned how to ride on a Honda Shadow but when I went to purchase my first bike, I felt more comfortable on the sport bikes. I felt they were lighter, better balanced and overall easier to ride. I ended up buying a Ninja 500. Had that one for quite a few years before I decided to upgrade to a Suzuki GSX-R 750. I love it! Its the best ride ever. Enjoy your ride!

Awesome All-Around Bike
by: Judy

Had Kawasaki come out with that bike before the '03 Z1000 I would've bought it. I've heard all kinds of good things about it, and, like the Ninja 250, it has a nice, upright ergonomic stance to it.

I'm like you, I don't like huge, overly heavy bikes so I've never had a penchant for the Cruiser style bikes. Luckily for me I have a fairly long inseam for my height (32" @ 5'6") so I have a fairly good choice of bikes that are comfortable to straddle and still flatfoot on at least one side.

Have fun and enjoy the new bike!
