2006 Yamaha VStar 1100 Classic

by Debbie

Love this bike, well balanced, easy to maneuver! I've been able to accessorize as I like, and I can keep up with the big boys. Only thing I wish it had was a 6th gear and a tach! Otherwise, I think it's a great bike for women. The low center of gravity helps so much. I had a Honda Shadow and I felt like it was top heavy.

V Star 1100

I just got a 02 a couple of weeks ago. It came with a lot of customizations, pipes, etc. It's a great bike for women. It sits low and isn't top heavy at all. Something isn't right with the set up though. It pops a lot on decelleration, vibrates awful at higher rpm, and really needs a 6th gear. After some TLC at the shop, it should run like a dream.

I own a 2002 VStar 1100 and love it too. I'm always looking for a 6th gear. Seems like I should be shifting one more time, but there is plenty of power at the top end so I'm not sure why I do. I'm just under 5' 2" and sit flatfooted. It is such a joy to ride this big bike. Very well balanced.
