2006 Honda Silverwing - 600cc

by Rose
(Alberta Canada)

I love my Silverwing!

This is not the old style Silverwing but Honda's newer 600cc step through model. When people look at my bike they think scooter, but if you ever ride one your brain will tell you sportster! There is no shifting and the Silverwing has loads of get up and go. My husband rides a Suzuki 1200 Bandit and he can't catch me off the line! Why? Because I have raw torque and constant acceleration while he has to make 3 shifts to get to the same speed!

Although this bike has lots of speed (at 90 mph I still have 2000 RPM befores I hit red line) it frees one from the need for speed. This is a bike that you can sit back and relax on while you watch the world go by. It is as powerful as a sport bike, as comfortable as a cruser, and it has enough floorboard that you can constantly change your leg position.

The newer Silverwings have lots of built in storage with the 2 glove boxes and the underseat storage (I have been known to bring home 6 bags of groceries under my seat.) If you want more storage room you can always add a top box.

I have found the Silverwing to be powerful, stable on the road, good on curves, it provides a fair ammount of wind protection, and I get over 65 miles to the imp gallon! What more could a girl ask for?
