2005 Yamaha VStar 650 Custom

I really like my VStar, its a nice medium bike. It's not too large and it not too small. It's a very stable and well balanced bike, which I think makes it a great bike for a woman. I really love riding it, and it appears a lot bigger than it is, so when I park somewhere and someone happens to be admiring it, they always think it's a mans bike.

Bikes in General

I ride two small bikes. I'm selling my Suzuki GZ250 and currently riding a Virago 535. Folks who don't know bikes do not assume my bikes are men's bikes, even though they're small. They're MOTORCYCLES so they must be all manly or something ;-)

My GZ someone asked me how I could ride something so big. I had to take him outside and have him sit on it to explain how it's not so large (there were no bikes parked nearby, so I guess it looked all macho there by itself).

My Virago was parked outside the place I do TKD, and a guy came in for the combat hapkido class afterward, saw me putting my helmet on to leave, and was dumb founded. He said that he hadn't expected that a woman would be riding a motorcycle. I decided to be amused instead of offended. I told him that now he knows they do.
