I started out riding Yamaha V-Stars. My 1st bike was a V-star classic 650, then I moved up to an 1100 V-Star. I really loved the 1100, it seemed to fit me. Pretty soon my husband and I decided to buy a Honda Goldwing, so I sold my 1100 V-Star and started riding his Yamaha Roadstar. It was an ok bike, but just didn't seem to fit me.

I then put it up for sale and started looking at the sport-touring bikes. I looked on-line asked some girls at work and found the ST1300. The 1st time I ever sat on this bike I was in LOVE!!! It rode like a dream! Handles...like no other I have ridden:) This is the best bike by far for me.

My husband and I just got back from a week long 2400 plus mile ride. We rode from Georgia to Tennessee to Arkansas to Oklahoma and back.

No complaints from me.

I really believe that some people are just born to ride.

My husband & I live in Okla and the Talimina Drive is a regular destination for us in the spring & fall. Hoped you stopped at the top and enjoyed the view at the Wilamina Lodge. But Georgia has really great roads also. Since you ride the ST you might check out the web site for the "MotorSport Touring Association" They have groups in most of the states and there always seems to be a ride going on somewhere.

We also have a Wing but also have 2 Yamaha FZ-1 that we do weekend trip on.

Nice bike! I have a Honda Shadow 600. I love it! I am from Oklahoma as well. Where are you at in Oklahoma? Maybe one of these days we will pass each other on the road. Have fun, keep riding and be safe.
