2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200

I started at age 40 on a Rebel, crashed it, afraid to ride for six years. Got another Rebel, took mc course, husband surprised me at Christmas with a 2001 Harley Sportster 883. Rode it four years...LOVED IT! Girl hit me broadside in a car, totaled it; replaced with my current ride, which I love. Limited edition, numbered HD paint job. I want to try husband's 1994 Fat Boy this summer and might switch rides! My 10th year of riding and biggest regret is not learning when I was a teen-ager!

Love My 1200L Sportster

I got the first year the Sportster 1200 Low was introduced in 2005. I also learned on a Honda Rebel 250, while taking a MSC. I later bought a used Rebel 250 while I was attending college. I tried a few other bikes but I always dreamed of a Harley. After being out of college for some years and having made some money, I walked into a HD dealer and sat on a 1200L, it was made for me. It had a chrome package; I added on a windshield and forward foot controls for comfort. It had so much power when I first got on it I thought I was going to be lifted off the bike! I loved riding through the pineapple fields in Hawaii and having the mountain ranges on the side and riding to the Pacific blue sea; singing, "born to be wild..."
