Chromey and Me

I'm a girl who appreciates vintage aesthetics, so when I started riding I, of course, wanted a vintage bike. But there's a problem with vintage bikes: most are kick starts, and I'm not that big of a girl. After several vintage bikes and a whole lot of frustration, my feller bought me the Roadster, customizing so it had a vintage flair. The emblems are off of a '55 T-Bird, the tank is chromed. He added the tank pads and the fork gators like the old bikes I loved. The best part? She's an absolute joy to ride. Last summer, she and I went 2400 miles together from California to Colorado--something my old Bonneville or my '66 YM1 sure the heck couldn't have done.

Hi,

Great story and awesome looking bike...noticed the "vintage travel trailer" in the background. Is that yours too and do you RV?

Thank You!

Thanks for looking! I have a '04 Triumph Bonneville too. They did a great job with the retro styling. Gotta love electric start!

Thanks for sharing! I love your unique bike - it fits you. I love retro looking bikes too, but unfortunately they aren't the most comfortable things to ride. Great that you were able to compromise and have the best of both worlds.
