Kawasaki Vulcan Custom VN800

Kawasaki Vulcan Custom VN800

I bought Rosey after I passed the MSF course in August. I rode for a little while over 24 years ago and gave it up after an accident with a truck on my first solo ride. I have wanted to ride for a while but fear got the best of me. I am riding again with the help of my husband and getting my confidence back slowly. This is a great bike for women riders since it sits low and is not too heavy, looks good too!

Love the Vulcan
by: Bobbi

Hello. I love the Vulcan. I am a new rider, just getting ready to purchase my first bike. I have decided on the Vulcan 900. I too am a little frighted, but have decided I am going to do it anyway. Thanks for sharing your story.

Nice
by: Jess

She is a beauty! I have a Vulcan 900 custom that I bought in late June - a week before I took my MSF course. I was terrified as I am a new rider but..... So glad I did. I'm in Alaska so no riding for me for another 6 mths. With you being in Sunny Vegas, ENJOY every ride you can and just think "BE SAFE" whenever you're out on it. I'm really jealous cause I can't ride right now - though I do go out to the shed and start her now and then. Love the way she sounds!!

Think Positive & Relax
by: Gypsy Spirit

The only thing to fear is fear itself. Enjoy every moment you ride ... or whatever! Whenever you find yourself thinking of the "bad" things that can happen clear the thoughts with something positive. Mine is just saying "Safe." or sometimes "Breathe."

Bad things happen ... in cars, on horses, playing in your backyard. There's no point dwelling on what "might" happen. It distracts you. Be cautious ... but that's different from fear.

Remember, you'll hear about an accident for years, but how much do you hear about however many vecicles go past that spot every day without incident? Forums like this are great because you get to hear about the good times!

P.S. Everytime I drop my bike ... I give thanks that it was only a "dumb drop" rather than a crash!

2002 Kaw
by: Deeann

Nice looking bike! Glad you're overcoming your fear. My mother hammered fear into me years ago about motorcycles. I'm a new rider too and it's nice to know that other women are not giving into fear. It's something that I still need to overcome. You have encouraged me! Keep riding girl!
