"Jap Crap"?? Another HD Lemming........
by: Judy

What, are you one of those idiots who comes up to anyone not on a Harley and says something totally ignorant, like, "Why don't you get a REAL bike?"

I always find that funny, because my "unreal" bikes all are more comfortable, handle much better, are far lighter and quicker, stop faster, and also cost far less than any Harley. When Harley can make a bike that weighs less than 475 lbs., with 125 rear wheel HP, state-of-the-art suspension and chassis, and fuel injection, and not 60 year old, outdated ugly styling AND do it for well under $10K, I'll buy one...my '03 Z1000 Kawasaki has over 64,000 miles and still runs perfect, never has had a single breakdown or failed to start. I didn't even need to buy a new battery until this year!

I personally don't care what anyone rides, as long as they don't have a stupid attitude and insist a certain brand is "better" because some marketing genius in Milwaukee convinced them to believe in a misguided, false notion of "patriotism" rather than the engineering attributes of the machine they're advertising. I'm sure that there are plenty of good HDs and they likely are one of the better choices for long distance touring--but since I don't care for large, heavy bikes I'll never own one, as they don't make the type of bike I like to ride. It's the brainwashed "HD only" folks that ruin things for the rest of us that just like to ride and don't judge people by the name painted on the tank...that's as ridiculous as it gets!

I've been riding on the road since the mid 1970s and my bikes have been stone-cold reliable. It's notable that EVERY SINGLE friend of mine who has a Harley have had significant amounts of trouble with breakdowns. Hell, even my 33 to 36 year old 2-stroke engined vintage bikes have been far more reliable than any of my friend's Harleys!

So who really is riding "Crap"?
I make my judgements solely from extensive riding for the past 35 years on actual performance, handling and reliability, not on BS advertisements....and I can tell you one thing unequivically: Chrome won't get you home!
